Description

TLS, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, Gipsy House letterhead, September 12, 1990. Letter to a middle school class, adding a playful Christmas-themed poem. In full: "Hello good-looking Monty and all the clever children in the sixth grade at Richmond Middle School. Thank you so much for the lovely letter and Jessica's delightful story. There are now only three more shopping months till Christmas: Where art thou, Mother Christmas? / I really wish I knew / Why Father should get all the praise / And no one mentions you. / I'll bet you buy the presents / And wrap them large and small, / While all the time the dirty swine / Pretends he's done it all. / So hail to Mother Christmas / The uncomplaining slave / And down with Father Christmas / That good-for-nothing knave." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
