Eminent Viennese composer (1825–1899) known as the 'Waltz King,' who is remembered for such classics as 'The Beautiful Blue Danube' and the 'Emperor Waltz,' and for the operetta staple, 'Die Fledermaus.' Choice AMQS on an off-white 4.25 x 3 album page, signed below in ink, "Johann Strauss." The 'Waltz King' boldly pens a few bars of music from one of his works. Impressively suede-matted and framed with a portrait and biographical plaque to an overall size of 19 x 20.
