Original early 1990s Apple Computer business card for Mike Markkula, the company’s original angel investor, first chairman, and second CEO. The card, 3.5 x 2, issued to “A. C. (Mike) Markkula, Chairman of the Board,” features the Apple ‘rainbow’ logo to the left and printed contact text to the right: “Apple Computer, Inc., P.O. Box 620170, Woodside, California 94062, 415 851-4425, Fax: 415 851-0188, AppleLink: ACM.” In fine condition.
Markkula served as Apple's chairman of the board from 1985 to 1997. When Steve Jobs returned to Apple as interim CEO in 1996, Markkula supported Jobs' comeback and agreed to step down from Apple's board. Wozniak, who designed the first two Apple computers, credits Markkula for the success of Apple more than himself.
