Description

"A large part of the high-altitude rocket theory was worked out...when I was at Princeton in 1912–13"

Physicist and inventor (1882-1945) credited with creating and building the world's first liquid-fueled rocket. TLS signed “R. H. Goddard,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Clark University letterhead, November 16, 1929. Letter to Frederick W. Loetscher, Jr., in full: "I am herewith complying with your request, contained in your letter of the third. It may interest you to know that a large part of the high-altitude rocket theory was worked out evenings in Mr. G. M. Brown's house at the corner of Van Deventer Avenue and Wiggins Street, when I was at Princeton in 1912–13, this place not being far from your home." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
