PN 514-0041-014, Mfd. By Radiation, Inc. for the Apollo Spacecraft, Serial No. 071208040019.” The back also bears a parts label: “Serial No. 071208040019, Part No. 514-0045-011.” The top, which is labeled “C13-1A101,” features a total of 18 ports, with the left side boasting an additional three ports.
The unit received and sampled analog, parallel digital, and serial digital information, which consists of astronaut biomedical, spacecraft operation, and scientific data. It then converted the data to a single serial output for transmission to Earth. This single-output signal was routed to the Premodulation Processor for transmission to the ground or to Data Storage Equipment.
