Apollo Command Module (Block II) Pyro Continuity Verification Box (PCVB), measuring 11˝ x 9˝ x 3˝, marked on the body: "V16-540130-901, 10174E065648," "V16-540135, 10174E063606" and "V16-540135, 10174E063667." The box features eight ports, labeled "J1" through "J8," and bears an identification plate on the side: "Box Assy Pyro Continuity Verification, Ser. 06362AAJ1187, Pt No. V16-540130-501, Model V36-3, Contr. NAS 9-150." A Rockwell "Parts Status and Identification" tag is attached, recording an inspection date of April 6, 1972.
As part of the Sequential Events Control Subsystem, the PCVB operated in series with the Earth Landing Sequence Controllers (ELSC) to monitor the pyrotechnics associated with the apex cover and parachute deployment mortars.
