Description

Cosmonaut Sergey Treshchov’s flown Casio W-42H digital wristwatch, which he carried aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour during the STS-111 mission en route to the International Space Station for Expedition 5, a 178-day mission where Treshchov served as Flight Engineer. The reliable digital quartz sports-style watch features a clear digital display with time, date, and day of the week, plus useful functions like a stopwatch, daily alarm, hourly chime, and an LED backlight for low-light visibility. The watch bears a lightweight and water-resistant case, a black resin strap, and a long-lasting battery. In fine condition. Accompanied by a photo of Treshchov wearing the watch while on board the ISS, a certificate of authenticity signed by Treshchov, and a handwritten Russian-language letter from the cosmonaut, confirming that this was the watch that Treshchov wore during his mission; the letter bears the official stamps of the ISS.

Expedition 5, the fifth long-duration mission to the International Space Station, launched aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour (STS-111) on June 5, 2002, docking two days later with the ISS on June 7th. Serving as Flight Engineer, Sergey Treshchov helped conduct approximately 25 new experiments and continue ongoing research in cold plasma, crystal growth, radiation effects, and human physiology. On August 26, 2002, he performed his only career spacewalk with Valery Korzun, lasting 5 hours and 21 minutes, installing hardware, testing materials, and adding antennas on the station’s exterior. The crew returned to Earth on STS-113 on December 7, 2002, and Treshchov completed the mission with a total of 184 days, 22 hours, and 15 minutes in space.
