Flown swatch of Beta cloth from "On board the Apollo 13 Spacecraft on its voyage around the moon 11-17 April 1970"

Flown 5.5˝ swatch of Beta cloth featuring an Apollo 13 mission emblem, signed in black ballpoint, “James Lovell,” who has certified the flight status of the Beta cloth on the lower presentation mat, “On board the Apollo 13 Spacecraft on its voyage around the moon 11-17 April 1970.” Framed to an overall size of 10 x 10. In very fine condition. Accompanied by a signed and flight-certified letter of authenticity from Lovell, which reads: “This Beta cloth crew patch presented to you flew to the moon aboard the command module ‘Odyssey’ (CM-109) on the Apollo XIII mission during its perilous trip around the moon, April 11-17, 1970. This Beta cloth patch travelled 5 days, 22 hours and 54 minutes from the earth to the moon and back with a ‘free-return trajectory’ around the moon…This patch was one of 450 patches listed and stowed aboard the ‘Odyssey’ as part of my CM Personal Preference Kit (PPK) and located in pouch part number SEB32100025-301, serial number 1016. The PPK contained patches, medallions and flags as mementos for distribution to NASA ground personnel, contractors and dignitaries, as well as my personal collection."
