English actor (1877–1959) best remembered for his role as Kris Kringle in the Christmas film Miracle on 34th Street, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Vintage matte-finish 7.75 x 9.5 photo of Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle in the 1947 Christmas classic Miracle on 34th Street, boldly signed in fountain pen. In fine condition, with a light crease to the background near his hat's pompom, and two filled-in filing holes to the top edge. One of the better Gwenn photos we have ever offered, highlighted by its large size, great image, and lack of inscription.
