Fantastic flown American flag carried on the Skylab space station from 1973-1974, 5.5 x 3.75, affixed to a 14 x 11 presentation certificate, signed at the bottom in ink by Johnson Space Center director Christopher C. Kraft, Jr. The certificate reads: "Presented to Peter D. Strahl, This flag was carried aboard Skylab during its orbital flights, 1973–1974, in appreciation of your dedicated and exceptional service and contributions to the success of the Skylab Program." In fine condition.
This is one of the rare flags that flew in the NASA Official Flight Kits (OFKs) and was aboard the station during all three of its crewed missions—completing an astounding 2,476 orbits of Earth.
