Description

Four official calligraphic "Certificates of Record" for Skylab 4 from the National Aeronautic Association (NAA) and the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI), all awarded to Skylab Pilot William R. Pogue. Includes two matching sets (in French and English) from the two international agencies:

Fédération Aéronautique Internationale:

(1) A 14" x 10.5" partly-printed certificate filled out in calligraphy and signed by FAI President Andre Dumas, Director General C. E. Hennecart, and NAA President J. B. Montgomery. It states that Carr, Pogue, and Gibson of the United States set a world record in Skylab 3 for "Durée en orbite terrestre en vol accouple groupe/ 83 jours 12 heures 32 minutes, 12,0 seconds/ Classe K-2."

(2) A 14" x 10.5" partly-printed certificate filled out in calligraphy and signed by FAI President Andre Dumas, Director General C. E. Hennecart, and NAA President J. B. Montgomery. It states that Carr, Pogue, and Gibson of the United States set a world record in Skylab 3 for "Distance en orbite terrestre en vol accouplé/ 55.127.747 kilometres/ Classe K-2."

National Aeronautic Association

(1) A 12" x 15" partly-printed certificate filled out in calligraphy and signed by NAA President J. B. Montgomery and Contest and Record Board Chair M. J. Randleman. It states that Carr, Pogue, and Gibson set a world record in Skylab 3 for "Class K Manned Spacecraft/ Duration with Spacecraft Linked/ 83 days, 12 hours, 32 minutes, 12.0 seconds."

(2) A 12" x 15" partly-printed certificate filled out in calligraphy and signed by NAA President J. B. Montgomery and Contest and Record Board Chair M. J. Randleman. It states that Carr, Pogue, and Gibson set a world record in Skylab 3 for "Class K Manned Spacecraft/ Distance with Spacecraft Linked/ 55,127,747 kilometers (34,254,794 miles)."

In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Pogue, bearing his facsimile signature. Only crew members named received these certificates.
