Flown Series 1995 one-dollar bill, serial number C32221907D, carried aboard two space shuttle flights—STS-105 (Discovery) and STS-108 (Endeavor)—as part of the ISS Expedition 3 mission, signed and flight-certified on the portrait side in black ballpoint by Vladimir Dezhurov, "Board ISS-3, STS-103, STS-109, V. Dezhurov." The bill also bears an on-board ISS handstamp to the lower left. In fine condition, with light central creases.
Consignor notes that this was acquired from Dezhurov via noted Russian space artifact dealer Alex Panchenko. It is one of the very few U.S. bills flown aboard any Space Shuttle mission, as United States astronauts were prohibited carrying such cargo—a prohibition that did not extend to the Russian cosmonauts aboard the flights.
