Flown sterling silver STS-43 Robbins medallion, measuring approximately 1.5″ x 1.75″, featuring a raised design of the mission insignia on the face—symbolizing 30 years of US spaceflight, it shows Space Shuttle Atlantis emerging from the outline of a Mercury capsule, deploying the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite-5 (TDRS-5); the stars are arranged to signify the mission number (4 stars left, 3 right of Atlantis). The reverse is engraved with the launch date, "August 2, 1991," and landing date and location, "August 11, 1991, RW 15, KSC, FL." The medal is serial numbered "32F" and stamped with the Robbins hallmark on the edge. Condition is mint state. Accompanied by its original case with stiff blue liner.
