Description

Dave Scott’s stunning medallion display honoring his three historic NASA space missions—a flown gold-plated Gemini 8 Fliteline medallion, a flown sterling silver Apollo 9 Robbins medallion, and an unflown Apollo 15 pendant of 14K gold

Exquisite medallion display from the personal collection of Apollo 15 moonwalker Dave Scott, which contains a flown gold-plated Gemini 8 Fliteline medallion, a flown sterling silver Apollo 9 Robbins medallion, and an unflown Apollo 15 pendant of 14K gold, all of which are attractively mounted and framed together to an overall size of 7˝ x 12˝. In overall mint condition. The display includes:

Flown gold-plated Gemini 8 Fliteline medallion, 1″ in diameter, featuring a raised design of the mission insignia on the face. The hidden reverse reads "First to Dock in Space," with the mission date, “16 March, 1966."

Flown sterling silver Apollo 9 Robbins medallion, 1˝ in diameter, with a raised design of the mission insignia on the face—the orbiting CM and LM with Saturn V launch vehicle, and mission number "IX" at center. The hidden reverse is engraved with the mission dates, "March 3–13, 1969," and encircled by the surnames of the astronauts in raised text: "McDivitt, Scott, Schweickart."

Unflown 14K Apollo 15 gold pendant/medallion, 1˝ in diameter, which beautifully features the Apollo 15 mission insignia designed by Emilio Pucci against a lustrous gilt background. This medallion, which was not carried on the mission due to weight limitations, was prepared by Rockwell International as a memento of their Command and Service Module (CSM) Endeavor.

Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Scott, who confirms the flight status of the Gemini 8 and Apollo 9 medallions.
