Description

Vintage hand-made desk model of the Soyuz 7K-LOK (Lunniy Orbitalny Korabl, ‘Lunar Orbital Craft’), measuring 8.5˝ in length, and suspended atop a wooden display stand, 5.5˝ x 3˝ x .5˝, which is signed in black felt tip by legendary cosmonaut Anatoly Berezovoy, who flew as commander on Soyuz T-5 on the first mission to the Salyut 7 space station, returning to Earth on the Soyuz T-7 after 211 days 9 hours. In fine condition, with some small scuffs and scratches.

The Soyuz 7K-LOK is a Soviet lunar orbital spacecraft developed as part of the N1-L3 Moon landing program. Designed to carry two cosmonauts into lunar orbit, the LOK would serve as the command and return craft while a single crew member descended to the Moon’s surface in the LK lander, before rendezvousing again in orbit for the journey back to Earth.
