Apollo Command Module event indicator (talkback), manufactured by Weston Instruments under NASA contract NAS9-150 and dated June 1969. This compact electromechanical unit measures 2.25˝ x 1.25˝ x .5˝ and bears a parts plate that reads: “Indicator, Event / NAA/S & ID ME 432-0172-0011…Contract No. NAS-9-150 / Weston Instruments, Inc. Pt No. 247591 / Date 6/69 / Ser No. US 097603211317.” This indicator was designed to provide visual confirmation of system states—such as valve position or switch actuation—within the spacecraft’s control panels. Marked “ANM, 460” and “U, NASA 40F” on one side, the indicator would have been mounted behind a cockpit panel, offering astronauts immediate 'go/no-go' feedback during operations.
