Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 20 x 16, January 20, 1927. President Coolidge appoints Walter M. Troll as "Lieutenant Commander (Engineering) in the Coast Guard of the United States." Neatly signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by President Calvin Coolidge, and countersigned by Secretary of the Treasury Andrew W. Mellon. In very good to fine condition, with tape along the top edge, a crease to the lower right edge, and some partial damage to the gold seal.
